Brief Introduction of Lecturer: Mr. Yonhannes Shiferaw is an associate professor of School of Physics and Astronomy, California State University, Northridge. He was an assistant professor of Cardiology Faculty, UCLA. His research covers biological calculation, non-linear dynamics and modeling, random process in biosystem, statistical mechanics for disordered systems and ventricular fibrillation.
The lecture covers Mr. Yonhannes Shiferaw’s recent research results in the field of cardiac cells and tissue mechanism. Among them, pattern formation in cardiac cells and tissue is from his Subcellular Turing Instability Mediated by Voltage and Calcium Diffusion in Cardiac Cells (2006) published on PANS. Stochastic calcium signaling in cardiac cells is his latest research result, on which he has given lectures in many universities.
